It is with great honor and excitement that I address you on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Executive Agency for Exploration and Maintenance of the Danube River – a significant milestone which allows us to reflect on the past with pride, to acknowledge our achievements, and to look ahead to the future with confidence.
Over the past decades, the Agency has built its identity as a stable and reputable institution, thanks to the work, professionalism, and dedication of generations of specialists. Each and every one of you – whether you continue your work within the Agency today or have contributed in the past – Is part of this history. Your efforts, knowledge, and commitment form the foundation of the successes achieved and the established reputation of the Agency.
The Danube has always been more than just a river – It is a vital artery connecting countries, economies and people. Our mission to study, maintain and develop it as a safe and efficient waterway is of utmost importance to both the national and the European transport system. This responsibility unites and inspires us to continue building upon what has been achieved.
Today, standing on a solid foundation of tradition, we face new challenges and opportunities – digitalization, sustainable development, environmental protection and infrastructure modernization. I am confident that through joint efforts, professionalism and continuity between generations, we will further develop the Agency in the spirit of innovation and high standards.
