NEWADA is the first project to connect water administrations across countries.
NEWADA, Network of Danube Waterway Administrations aims at increasing the efficiency of the Danube as the European Transport Corridor VII by intensifying cooperation between waterway administrations to promote inland navigation as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly mode of transport.
Within this project different institutions (responsible for the management and maintenance of the waterway) set up a network, which goal is to harmonize those activities, action plans, exchange experience and best practices, as well as to initiate joint actions.
